At age 50, in 2013, I was rear-ended…

“At age 50, in 2013, I was rear-ended at a red light. As a result of the accident, I suffered a mild traumatic brain injury and neck injuries. My symptoms matched an impact to the brainstem and I had unbearable headaches. Doctors in Sweden suspected a high cervical injury but did not investigate further and told me: we have no procedures for such high neck injuries. I kept deteriorating and knew I needed specialists experienced in these injuries. In November 2019 I met Dr. Gilete for a consultation. In March 2020, Dr. Gilete performed a C0–C2 and C4–C6 fusion with traction. Several symptoms disappeared after the surgery and others were significantly reduced. I regained part of my life and best of all: the surgery stopped the worsening condition that had been progressing. My life is now bearable! When will I receive confirmation of my evaluation?

We usually confirm your appointment within 24 business hours after receiving your request.

What documents should I send before the evaluation?

We recommend attaching your imaging studies (MRI, CT) in PDF or JPG format in the form. If this is not possible, you can send them by email to info@drgilete.com.

How does the telemedicine evaluation work?

After selecting “Remote via telemedicine,” you will receive a link for a video call. You must have your studies uploaded and a good internet connection.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Yes, you can modify or cancel up to 24 hours before the appointment by contacting +34 93 198 34 77 or by email.

Do you offer assistance for international patients?

Of course. We help international patients with their queries, and native Spanish and English translation services.
