Upright imaging is always preferable as it is in a weight-bearing position where instability is most apparent and thus measurable and diagnosable. However, some patients are not able to undergo upright imaging due to being completely bedbound. Please be aware that supine imaging is inferior for diagnostic purposes and may not allow us to make a full evaluation. Sometimes, CCI can be present but due to the imaging being supine, the MRI can be ruled out as normal or with non-specific signs.
